1) FLUSH OUT THE WATER FROM THE PANEL CIRCUITRY
This shall be done by disconnecting the Inlet & Outlet hoses, Blow air (Use a blower) through Outlet hose. This will help in avoiding scaling in cooling tubes then cover the hose and manifold opening properly with polythene paper or by suitable cap.
2) FLUSH OUT THE WATER FROM THE COIL CIRCUITRY
This shall be done by disconnecting the Inlet & Outlet hoses, Blow air through Outlet hose. This will help in avoiding scale deposits in coil tubes and WCL. Then cover the hose and manifold opening properly with polythene paper or by suitable cap.
3) FLUSH OUT THE WATER FROM COOLING TOWER CIRCUIT
The sump drain plug shall be pulled out, drain water and shall be stored in a closed tank for reuse upon operation or shall be dispersed to ground. Also clean the nozzles, bearings of fan and apply grease. This will help in avoiding water become hard due to evaporation over period of time and also will avoid algae formation.
4) LUBRICATION OF MOVING PARTS
Clean the moving parts of furnaces such as Pivot Bearing, Rod End bearing & Clevis end bearing, apply grease. This will help in keep it fit against rust.
5) CLEANING OF FURNACE SURROUNDINGS
Clean and remove the slag and other materials lying around furnaces and keep the surrounding clean. This will help in avoiding removal of hard deposits upon restart.
6) BLOW DOWN OF PANEL
Open the panel doors, blow & clean the compartment with clean air (use a blower), plug all openings if any and close the doors with lock. This will ensure no further dust deposit or prevention of entry of insects, Mammals and reptiles.
7) PUMP STATIONS
Clean the bearings, apply grease & Finally Turn OFF the power switch to Transformers, panel and pump stations with proper Lock out Tab.
