Hydro Rein’s Renewable Energy & Bauxite Mine:
Hydro Rein has declared that it will develop a hybrid project named Fijao project with solar & wind to generate and supply electricity to the Bauxite mine of Hydro in Brazil. This project is a partnership between Macquarie Asset Management’s Green Investment Group (GIG) and Hydro Rein, with a percentage share of 50.1% & 49.9%, respectively. Macquarie Asset Management provides capital for green investment projects and has been working in the USA and Australia since 1980. Hydro Rein delivers renewable energy solutions. It works on solar, wind, and hydro compound projects in Brazil. Hydro is considering cutting carbon dioxide emissions by 30% by 2030. It will require USD700 million to develop a project of 586 MW. It will produce/generate 456 MW with 80 wind turbines in Stage-I and will produce130 MW with solar energy production in stage-II.
Electricity Generation & Albras’s Aluminum Plant:
Hydro Rein, Atlas, and Albras have a joint project for renewable energy to provide electricity for the Albras aluminum plant. Albras is the foremost manufacturer of primary aluminum in Brazil and has a production capacity of 460,000 tons per year. It has captured the national and international markets. Atlas Renewable Energy has been developing & operating energy
projects in the USA since 2017 and is known for its large-scale solar energy project. The joint venture of the three companies has required an investment of USD 320 million to produce 438 MW.
- Both projects will provide electricity, one for the bauxite mine and the other for aluminum production.
- Companies that own power projects with solar technology will bear low electricity costs.
- Carbon emissions will be less.
